The retooled magazine added four new channels and plenty of new mentors and coaches, with an eye toward enhancing their business insights and solutions. The publication caters to the American Latino business community, along with three million-plus owners.
“Launching this business, together with Miriam Vializ Briggs, has been an incredible and sentimental journey,” Mittelman said. “Our emphasis on mentoring and empowerment was inspired by the life’s work of my late father in law, Dr. Les “Coach” Fernandez.
“Coach was the founder and executive director of EduCage, a ground-breaking alternative educational program for at-risk youth established in Westchester County, New York, in the 1960s. Latin Business Today is dedicated to his memory and the lives he changed.”
To relaunch Latin Business Today, Mittelman enlisted advisors and contributors from a range of organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, professional services, research organizations and academia.
“Our redesign was created to better serve Latinos in various stages of the business lifecycle and their work-life balance,” said Tina Trevino, Latin Business Today's director of community relations. “In keeping with Coach’s legacy, with the guidance of the Fernandez family, our mission remains steadfast to Inform, Inspire, Mentor and Empower 21st century Latino business owners and professionals.”
