The program, called Echo Responder, allows field firefighters and emergency medical technicians to view and update incident data using a smartphone, tablet or computer, according to a press release from Echo Responder.

The software also allows emergency officials to create incident pre-plans and get turn-by-turn driving directions.

Echo Responder uses touch-screen navigation and is compatible with Android, iOS and Web devices.

Cortlandt Regional Paramedics responds to about 5,000 calls per year, and is a town agency.

Cortlandt Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps is run entirely by volunteers who serve Cortlandt, Buchanan and Montrose.
