CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Three Boy Scouts from Ttroop 45 in Van Cortlandtville recently received honors at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan.

Vincent Ribeiro, Eric Quarato and Christian Pitaccio were honored with the Ad Altare Dei religious emblem on Sunday, May 4.

"The boys worked towards the religious emblem award for several months with their counselors, and they also attended a religious retreat," representatives said in the release.  The Boy Scouts of America offers religious emblems for various religious groups, in hope that the Scout grows stronger in their personal faith, and moral character."
