Bitter Cold Will Give Way To Showers In Cortlandt

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Temperatures will begin to climb back to normal this week in Westchester County, but the threat of rain on Wednesday and Thursday will dampen the mood.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with high temperatures around 39 degrees with wind chills making it feel closer to 25.

Showers will begin to move into the area on Wednesday after 3 p.m. with a high temperature of 43. Chance of rain is 30 percent. 

Thursday will be much warmer, but rain is very likely and thunderstorms are possible after noon. High temperatures will be around 57 degrees with an 80 percent chance of precipitation. 

Rain will leave the area on Friday, but clouds will remain with a high around 50. 

The weekend will be partly-to-mostly sunny with temperatures taking another dip into the low-to-mid 40s.
