CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. A Designer Shoe Warehouse store, DSW, will open in the Cortlandt Town Center next door to the Barnes and Noble book store.
Barnes and Noble patrons may have noticed ongoing construction in the building, as the traditional plastic sheets are hung on the giant retail space's windows. Chris Kehoe, deputy director of the planning division for the Town of Cortlandt, said the store will open in what is known as "building D" to the town's planning department.
Its taking over a portion of the former Levitz Furniture store and theres a remaining portion, which as far as I know doesnt have a tenant, Kehoe said. Calls to Acadia Realty, the group that handles tenants in the town center, did not return calls for comment on when the store might open.
Kehoe said landscaping and updated signage within the building has been ongoing.
