On Monday, Alston's dream came true as she participated on the venerable game show, winning some designer luggage.

Alston was the third person picked to come on down and be a contestant. When her name was called, she high fived the audience and nearly fell as she approached the stage.

She was first asked to give the price of a digital camera. Alston said $1,000, but the camera was $3,045 and her bid was not the highest.

Next, Alston had the opportunity to bid on designer luggage. Alston bid $1,200. The luggage was priced at $2,048 but Alston's bid was chosen and she got to play. As she made her way to the stage, Alston was jumping up and down, high fiving people.

"I've been waiting 30 years for this," Alston said as she hugged host Drew Carey.

Alston told Carey that when she went to California 30 years ago, "The Price Is Right" was closed for the summer.

The game "Do The Math," was up next for Alston. She was offered two vacations, a trip to Utah and a trip to Myrtle Beach. She had to determine whether the trip to Myrtle Beach was $1,129 higher or lower than the trip to Utah.

Unfortunately, Alston guessed lower and got it wrong.

"That's OK," said Alston, who walked away with the luggage she bid correctly on.

Alston was given the opportunity to spin the showcase wheel. While spinning the wheel, she said hi to her family.

"I made it," Alston exclaimed.

Alston spun a 40 but was outspun by someone who spun 70.
