For Westchester Band, 'Birdman' Oscar Win Is Music To Their Ears

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- The comedic drama "Birdman" won Best Picture at the Oscars Sunday night but the real winner was The Marching Cobras of New York, a band comprised of at-risk adolescents including a contingent from Dobbs Ferry-based St. Christopher’s, an organization dedicated to helping teens with emotional, behavioral and learning disabilities,

The group provides the backdrop for the final scene of the movie. 

"It is truly special for our children to have even a small part in this tremendous film," said St. Christopher’s CEO Dr. Robert Maher. "We owe a debt of gratitude to the location scouts and everyone associated with the making of this movie."
