First, there was Peekskill Restaurant Week (see Daily Voice story here). Now, there's Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (HVRW).

Despite the "week" in its name, the two-week promotion, which runs March 9-22, features prix fixe, three-course dinners for $29.95 and $20.95 lunches (plus drinks, tax and tip) with a focus on locally sourced seasonal ingredients.

More than 200 restaurants throughout Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster and Columbia counties are participating. Go here for the full list.

Peekskill eateries include Birdsall House and The Hudson Room.

Diners are encouraged to share their dining images during HVRW on Facebook, Twitter and Instragram for the opportunity to win prizes, including gift certificates to HVRW restaurants and sponsors.
