Lower Hudson Valley Will Be At Mid-Peak Foliage This Weekend

The fall foliage scene will be in full effect for parts of upstate this weekend while much of the Lower Hudson Valley enters the beginning to middle stages of the seasonal change, according to iloveny.com.

Areas in the Adirondack Mountains and Catskill Mountains will be near or at peak foliage this weekend while counties like Westchester and Rockland will in the realm of 10-50 percent changeover, according to the site.

In New City, spotters are reporting bright purple, orange and red leaves at near 50 percent of the change. In Bear Mountain State Park, leaves of red, orange and yellow are appearing at 25 percent their peak strength. Westchester County and Poughkeepsie expect 10 and 30 percent color change, respectively, according to the site.
