Local In Chappaqua Is Finalist In DVlicious Ice Cream Contest

CHAPPAQUA., N.Y. -- From simple vanilla to gourmet caramel combinations to the invasion of the Oreo  -- is anything better on a hot day than the cool swirl of ice cream?

Classic, traditional options, along with newfangled flavors, can be found in all corners of Westchester with a number of versions served a variety of ways (hello whipped cream, fudge, sprinkles and waffle cones).

You, however, picked five nominees for the best ice cream in the county, meaning now's the time to nail down the winner.

What Makes Their Ice Cream Special: It's made with organic milk and cream; there are no preservatives; no artificial ingredients, no corn syrup.

Number of Flavors: 14, though Owner Adam Strahl said it fluctuates between l2 and l6.

Most Popular: Toss up between espresso cookie or dirty chocolate (a truffle of three dark chocolates).
