One of the largest restaurant week events in the country, the two-week dining celebration will feature more than 170 restaurants across seven counties. You can sample flavors from all over the world, including American, French, Italian, Brazilian, Puerto Rican, Mediterranean, Mexican and Moroccan cuisine.

"The Hudson Valley is a rising star in the culinary world," said Janet Crawshaw, founder of the event. "With so many restaurants participating, the culinary offerings are diverse. Many chefs focus on locally sourced ingredients for their dishes."

The Hudson Valley was recently named by National Geographic as one of only three "Best Trip" destinations in the United States, in part because of its culinary options. Crawshaw and Jerry Novesky launched the Valley Table in 1998 to celebrate the food of the Hudson Valley and support sustainable agricultural practices. In 2006, the two worked to premiere the first Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, which started with 70 restaurants and quickly grew. This year's event features 12 new restaurants.

You can enjoy prix fixe three-course dinners for $29.95 and lunches for $20.95, plus beverage, tax and tip. Reservations are encouraged at most participating restaurants.
