But the most important can be summed up quickly.

The food is authentic Italian, and the Neapolitan style pizza - with all fresh ingredients, and cooked in a wood-fired stove - is an experience all its own.

Amore's just imported, handmade, Italian Neapolitan wood-fired pizza oven is a work of art, centered in a showcase-like location for customers to gaze at when they enter or exit the restaurant.

The best part? Pizzas come out perfectly cooked in under a minute. Fifty seconds to be exact. And yes - they're amazing, according to customers.

"We take a lot of pride in our pizza," Ragosta, who owns the restaurants along with wife Luisa, told Daily Voice. The Ragostas (who came here from Italy 20 years ago) have two children, Roberta, 11, and Hilary, 8, and reside in Sherman, Conn., the location of the other Amore, which has been in business for five years. "We serve Neapolitan pizza, cooked in a wood fire oven... we use a special flour imported from Italy.

"Everyone loves our pizza," Ragosta added with a laugh. "It's all so fresh, and being cooked in the wood oven - it makes a big difference."

And the same care goes into the menu Ragosta offers. "We're different from other Italian-American restaurants, because we're 100% fine Italian food," Ragosta explained. "Yes - we do chicken parm and veal parm, but we also want to make coming here a destination... Our chef is a master of the carbonara, and we specialize in all fresh seafood."

The restaurant also makes all its own bread and pasta, as well as desserts, including pastiera napoletana.
