Northern Westchester Butterfly Count: An annual rite of summer, the North American Butterfly Count is a way for all butterfly enthusiasts to partake in a citizen scientist monitoring effort. Home Improvement Workshop: 10-11 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m. Every Saturday in July the Home Depot of Mohegan Lake will host home improvement workshops. Morning classes focus on interior paintings techniques for walls and ceilings, and afternoon classes focus on installing laminate flooring. Archeological Association Open House: 1-4 p.m. The Lower Hudson Chapter of the New York State Archaeological Association has an open house every second Sunday of each month at the nature center at Croton Point Park. Members will be there to answer any questions about exhibits and activities. Croton Point Park is at 1A Croton Point Ave., Croton-on-Hudson. Parking fees may apply.
