Monday, Aug. 20 

Village of Croton Work Session 7:30 p.m. The Village of Croton will hold a work session to discuss current events. There will not be a portion for public comment. The meeting takes place at the Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building, 1 Van Wyck St., Croton-on-Hudson.

Tuesday, Aug. 21

Look Good… Feel Better 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. This program from the American Cancer Society provides hands-on instruction for women experiencing appearance-related side effects from cancer treatment. The program offers education about hairstyling, skin care, makeup and nail care. Call (800) ACS-2345 to register or learn more. This program takes place at the Ashikari Breast Center, Hudson Valley Hospital Center, 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt.

Buchanan Village Board Work Shop 7:30 p.m. The Village of Buchanan Board of Trustees will hold a regular workshop to discuss current events, at Buchanan Village Hall, 236 Tate Ave., Buchanan. There will not be a portion for public comment.

Buchanan Village Court 7 p.m. Buchanan Village Court will be held at Buchanan Village Hall 236 Tate Ave., Buchanan, and is open to the public.

Wednesday, Aug. 22

Knitting Circle 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. This knitting circle is open to people living with breast, ovarian and gynecological cancer and is sponsored by the Support Connection of Yorktown. Women with no knitting or crocheting experience are welcome and will be helped by an experienced knitter. More experienced crafters are also welcome. Registration is required, call 914-962-6402. This event takes place at the Support Connection office, 40 Triangle Center, Suite 100, Yorktown Heights.

Thursday, Aug. 23

Ice Cream Social Ninth grade students from Hendrick Hudson High School can attend an ice cream social and ID badge event, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Call 914-257-5100 for more information.

Senior Benefits Center 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Retired professionals will be on hand at Peekskill's Field Library to answer questions for seniors. All questions are welcome. The Field Library is located at 4 Nelson Ave., Peekskill, call 914-265-5286 for more information.
