Cortlandt Town Board Work Session: 7 p.m. The board will discusses current issues in the town, although no legislative action will likely be taken. The meeting is open to the public, but there is not a portion for public comment. Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady St., Cortlandt Manor.

Croton Board of Trustees Work Session: 7:30 p.m. The Croton Board of Trustees meets to discuss current issues in the village; legislative decisions are not generally taken at work sessions. Tuesday, Sept. 25

School Picture Day: Students at Hendrick Hudson's Furnace Woods Elementary School, Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School and Blue Mountain Middle School have picture day.

Yom Kippur: The Hendrick Hudson and Croton-Harmon school districts will be closed for Yom Kippur.
