Friday, Feb. 15

Rutheny's Jewelry Extravaganza: 6 p.m. Celebrating Valentine's Day, Rutheny's Jewelry brought 10 jewelers under one roof for the seventh annual "Jewelry Extravaganza." This event marks the opening of the show, at Rutheny's Jewelry, 80 Brook St., Croton.

Riverlovers Pot Luck Supper: 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to this potluck dinner and screening of the PBS special, "Climate of Doubt." The supper takes place at the Croton Point Park Nature Center. The Nature Center is inside Croton Point Park, 1 Croton Point Ave., Croton See the Riverlovers website for more information. 

Saturday, Feb. 16

Croton-Centric Art Exhibit: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Submit works for the first ever "Croton-Centric Art Exhibit" at the Croton Point Park Nature Center. Paintings, drawings, photographs, sculpture that were created at or inspired by the park are welcome. All must be framed and wired for hanging.

Outdoors Club: 11:45 a.m. Go on a 7-mile hike through Croton Point Park with members of New York City's Outdoor Club. There is a $3 fee for non-members. More information is available at the MeetUp group website. 

Cross Country Ski Tour: Noon. Join all levels of cross-country skiers for a tour of Croton Point Park. This event is presented by the Croton Point Park Nature Center, and is dependent on weather. For more information, call 914-862-5297.

The John Jones Home in Cortlandt, History & Architecture: 2 p.m. The 18th century farmhouse will be the topic of discussion at a meeting of the Van Cortlandtville Historic Society's Little Red School House, 297 Locust Ave., Cortlandt Manor.

Chelsea Brewery Tap Takeover: 6-9 p.m. Join other brew lovers at the Green Growler Grocery in Croton for a free sampling of beers from Chelsea Brewery. The Green Growler is at 368 S. Riverside Ave., Croton.

Sunday, Feb. 17

Year of the Snake: 11 a.m. to noon. Come celebrate the "Year of the Snake" at Teatown. Educators will focus on myth versus reality to give a better understanding of snakes and their benefit to ecological systems. Programs fill quickly so registration strongly is recommended. Call 914-762-2912 ext. 110 to reserve.

Croton-on-Hudson Food and Gift Show: 1-5 p.m. Sample foods from your favorite restaurants to benefit the New York City Children's charities. Tickets are available from Pronto's Pizza in Croton's ShopRite plaza, children younger than 12 years old are free. The gift show is at Asbury Methodist Church, 18 Old Post Road S., Croton.
