CORTLANDT, N.Y. - There are loads of things to do this weekend. Check out the Croton Free Library's free concert with Croton-based singer-songwriter Rob Morsberger or listen to a reading by Hudson Valley writer Joan Gussow at Teatown Lake Reservation.

Friday, Feb. 1

Drop-In Movie Night: 7:30-9:30 p.m. The Village of Croton invites teens to come see a movie at the Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building, 1 Van Wyck St., Croton. This event is free and refreshments will be on sale. For more information, call the Croton Recreation Department at 914-271-8562.

Saturday, Feb. 2

Caregiver Support Group: 9:30 a.m. This Leave The Light On Foundation program will have a specific theme, following the overarching theme of supporting caregivers. The programs are at Hudson Valley Hospital Center's Dempsey House, 1992 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor. This event is free.

Kaplan SAT Practice Test: 10 a.m. The Hendrick Hudson Free Library hosts a practice SAT, one of the best ways to practice for the real thing. Students in grades 6-12 can register by calling 914-739-5654, or visit the library at 185 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose.

"The Snowy Day" with Monica Levy: 11 a.m. Come and join Monica Levy for active fun with "The Snowy Day" by Ezra Jack Keats. Enjoy imaginative movement games, music and props inspired by the story. Monica Levy is the director of the celebrated children’s program LeapSmart, which brings creative movement, yoga and gymnastics to children throughout Westchester. Registration required. Family Yoga: 11:30 a.m. This Pilates On Hudson class is designed for the whole family and uses circus yoga activities, partner work, discussion and the opportunity to quiet the mind through visualization and relaxation. Admission is $25 for an adult and child and $5 for additional participants. Pilates On Hudson is at 8 John Walsh Blvd., Peekskill.

Author Joan Gussow Visits Teatown: 1 p.m. Teatown Lake Reservation, in partnership with the Hudson Valley Writer’s Center, welcomes author Joan Gussow as she reads from her book, "Growing, Older: A Chronicle of Life, Death, and Vegetables," a memoir on the loss of her husband of 40 years, her gardening experiences in the Hudson Valley and her thoughts on food in the United States. Following the reading will be a reception and discussion. This program is at 1600 Spring Valley Road, Ossining. Call 914-762-2912 ext. 110 for reservations.

Rob Morsberger: 7:30 p.m. Croton-based, and nationally renowned, singer-songwriter Rob Morsberger performs original music from recently released albums, such as "Ghosts Before Breakfast," "A Part of You," and a collaborative project with Crash Test Dummies' Brad Roberts, "Midnight Garden," at the Croton Free Library. The library is at 171 Cleveland Drive, Croton.

Sunday, Feb. 3

Save Your Trees! Noon to 2 p.m. Join arborist Craig Stevens at the Jane E. Lytle Memorial Arboretum in Croton to learn how to prevent severe storm damage, why pruning is critical in the aftermath, and which trees to avoid planting in the first place. The arboretum is on Fox Road in Croton. This event is free. Directions to the arboretum can be found here.

Animal Adventures: Groundhog Day: 1 p.m. Read a story and do crafts while discovering if groundhogs really come out to see their shadow on Groundhog Day. This event is designed for children ages 4 and older. Admission is free for members and $5 for non-members.
