Friday, March 1

“Fiddler On The Roof” At Hendrick Hudson: 8 p.m. The HHHS Starboard Stars present their spring musical “Fiddler On The Roof” at the Joan Thompson Auditorium at Hendrick Hudson High School. In the long tradition of musical theater, Fiddler on the Roof has been a shining name among classic shows, with memorable songs. With its poignant drama and witty humor, it transports you far from the home you love for an intimate look at the Jewish community in Russia in 1905. Come say mazel tov to the cast and crew of the Starboard Stars Drama Club’s production at Hendrick Hudson High School. The Hendrick Hudson Free Library presents the March Art Exhibit “Inspiration 2013.” Works by Hendrick Hudson School District students will be shown in the Community Room. Red-Tailed Hawks at Teatown: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Did you know that red-tailed hawks are one of the most adaptable raptors? Learn some of the amazing ways that these incredible hunters survive around humans, even in some rather unlikely circumstances. We’ll hear the story of Pale Male, and meet one of Teatown’s red-tailed hawks. Teatown Lake Reservation, 1600 Spring Valley Road, Ossining.

Sunday, March 3

Sugaring Sunday at Teatown: 1 to 3 p.m.  Stoke up the fire, it’s sugaring time at Teatown. From tapping to collecting, boiling to bottling, Teatown’s naturalists will be in Warren’s Sugar House sharing facts and folklore about this sweet time of year. One-hour tours begin at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Teatown Lake Reservation, 1600 Spring Valley Road, Ossining.

Animal Adventures at Teatown: 1 to 2 p.m. Meet a few of Teatown’s ambassador animals in this program featuring rabbits. Please note this program is for families with children ages 4 and up. Teatown Lake Reservation, 1600 Spring Valley Road, Ossining.

Concert At Hendrick Hudson Library: 2 to 3:30 p.m. Rhonda Denet and the Silver Fox Songs Trio will perform From Jazz To Soul at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library. Rhonda Denet is a formally trained and soulfully gifted songbird.  She has been hailed as a virtuoso that lends her flair to every song she sings. For more information, call (914) 739-5654.
