Those in the audience during Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School’s fall drama will enjoy a series of comedic monologues, duets and ensemble scenes, all helping to make the case against plays. Charlotte Oliver said the unique script offers something new to audiences.
“It represents a different take on how plays are portrayed,” she said. Harry Cooper portrays fussy teacher Miss Griswold in the production. “I found it to be a very challenging role,” he said of the cross-gender undertaking. The actors agreed the unique perspective of the play and comedic moments will keep audiences entertained.
“Without my passionate cast, ‘15 Reasons Not to Be in a Play’ would not be possible,” said director Rachel Lang. “Thank you to all those who have made this an incredible journey. I hope you come out to support the amazing students here at PVC.” “15 Reasons Not to Be in a Play” is showing at Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School on Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m.
