It happened just before 3 p.m. Friday, June 23 in the town of Fairfield, in the 500 block of Redding Road.
A 45-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle that remained at the scene, Fairfield Police said.
The woman was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her identity has not yet been released.
The operator of the vehicle is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, police said.
