Registration starts at 8 a.m., and the race begins at 9:15 a.m.
The race, organized by the Quiet Man Public House, includes runners carrying frozen turkeys that are later donated to CHOP (Caring for the Homeless of Peekskill).
All turkeys will be distributed to locals who are in need for Thanksgiving.
The Hudson Valley Hospital team plans to dress in costume and use a stretcher to carry the turkeys.
“Everyone should sign up,’’ said Dr. William Higgins, vice president of medical affairs, who plans to run with his son on Saturday. “It’s a great way to give back to the community.’’
Additional nonperishable food items will also be collected the day of the run. Suggested items include canned cranberry sauce, bagged marshmallows, canned yams, canned vegetables, boxed stuffing mix and canned gravy.
