Talk On Transport Services For Seniors Set For Chappaqua

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. – Northern Westchester Hospital at Chappaqua Crossing is hosting a presentation about the transportation needs of seniors in northern Westchester.

“Aging in the Community: The Indispensible Transportation Resources of Northern Westchester” will be presented on Wednesday, March 4, from 9-11 a.m.

Catherine Wynkoop, an advocate for the transportation needs of seniors and care providers, will discuss mobility management. Representatives of Ride Connect, Paratransit and Westfair Rides will explain the different transportation services available to county seniors.

The presentation will also be open for comments and discussion.

This event is presented by the Northern Westchester Geriatric Committee.

The presentation is free for NWGC members and $5 for nonmembers. To learn more about membership, click here. 

Panel members include representatives of the Westchester County Office for the Disabled, the Office of the Aging, Neighbor to Neighbor, Lewisboro’s Louise Paolicelli, Pound Ridge’s Dawn Mahoney, Cortlandt’s Mary DeSilva, the Yorktown Senior Center’s Liz Dieter, Mount Kisco’s Joni Ehrlich and the Fox Center.

The Northern Westchester Hospital at Chappaqua Crossing is at 480 Bedford Road.
