The support groups are scattered across Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess, and are aimed at helping all affected by cancer – from diagnosis to post-treatment.
Support Connection's main offices in Yorktown will host a group for those affected by breast and ovarian cancer on Aug. 6, at 10 a.m., another group for those affected by breast cancer on Aug. 25 at 7 p.m., and a Young Women's support group on Aug. 12, at 7 p.m.
Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor will host a group on Aug. 10 at 7 p.m.
The Yorktown Jewish Center will host a group for women coping with recurrence on Aug. 21 at 12:30 p.m.
Northern Westchester Hospital in Chappaqua hosts a group on Aug. 5 at 7 p.m.
For those unable to attend in person, there are support groups by teleconference available. An ovarian cancer support group will take place on Aug. 12 at 8 p.m., and advanced stage breast cancer groups are set for Aug. 3 and Aug. 31 at 8 p.m.
