Ossining Library To Show 'The Human Experience'

OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Ossining Public Library will host a screening of the award-winning documentary "The Human Experience," to be followed by a panel discussion on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 6:15 p.m.

According to a summary on the Internet Movie Data Base, "The Human Experience" follows a band of brothers who travel the world in search of the answers to the burning questions: Who am I? Who is Man? Why do we search for meaning? Through one-on-one interviews and real life encounters, the brothers are awakened to the beauty of the human person and the resilience of the human spirit."

The post-screening discussion will be led by Ossining resident Patty Chapman, a long-time brand marketing consultant and facilitator who has led focus group discussions and idea sessions leading to more than 100 everyday products. She has also mediated several discussion at the Ossining Library. 

Other guests include: Phebe Washburn, a lifelong Quaker with the Chappaqua Friends Meeting; Beth K. Lamont, a representative to the U.N. for the American Humanist Association and Bart Worden, a certified ethical culture leader by the American Ethical Union since 1998.

The Ossining Library is at 53 Croton Ave.
