The closures, expected to occur between Exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road) and exits 9E/W (Interstate 84), will not prevent traffic from passing, but delays are likely, the DOT said.
In the event that foul weather prevents the construction work, the closures will not take place. For up-to-date travel information, call 511 or visit www.511NY.org. Follow New York State DOT on Twitter and on Facebook.
DOT officials reminded drivers that those caught speeding in a construction zone face fines that will be doubled. Two or more speeding violations could result in the suspension of a driver's license.
