CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. – The Kathleen F. Marks Memorial Foundation’s third annual Halloween Masquerade Ball in Cortlandt Manor raised more than $1,500 for children’s cancer research.
The formal event, held in October at the Mansion at Colonial Terrace in Cortlandt Manor, took its guests into the world of Alice in Wonderland.
The evening included a Cheshire cat contortionist, an acrobat duo, a paso doble dance performance, and a group dance lesson.
Guests bid on 20 silent auction items, which raised $1,500 to benefit the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
The funds are earmarked for research into neuroblastoma, a common childhood cancer that currently does not have any effective treatment options available.
