Keller Williams Realtors Serve Up Food For Somers Charity

MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- Keller Williams Realty Partners and broker/owner Lou Cardillo has announced plans for the fourth annual “KW Now Serving” auction and tips for charity event.

This year's event will benefit local charity "Drug Crisis in our Backyard" and "KW Cares." It is scheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 21 at Traditions 118 Restaurant in Granite Springs, a section of Somers.

KW Cares is a 501(c)3 charity helping KW associates facing financial hardship due to major emergencies, and contributes to communities in need due to catastrophic events.

Drug Crisis in our Backyard is a local organization founded by the Salomone and Christiansen families, both of whom lost their sons to drug addiction. The purpose of the organization is to promote awareness and provide resources and support to those individuals and their families affected by drug addiction.

Keller Williams agents will take over as wait staff and bartenders at the event. All tips collected for this evening will directly benefit Drug Crisis in our Backyard and KW Cares.

Those wishing to attend should call 914-248-7200 requesting a table for the “KW Now Serving” event.

“I am so excited to host this event for the fourth straight year,'' Cardillo said. "My awesome team of Westchester and Putnam’s finest real estate agents love to give back to our community, and this is what ‘KW Now Serving’ is all about. This year we are honored to partner with the Salomone and Christiansen families to help combat the drug epidemic that has plagued our community. This year we are hoping to raise over $5,000 for KW CARES, and to help Drug Crisis in our Backyard continue the important work they do.”

Steve Salomone, co-founder of Drug Crisis in our Backyard said: “We are working tirelessly in our effort to drive awareness and reduce the stigma associated with addiction. We are so pleased and honored to be the local charity that Keller Williams chose to benefit in this year's Now Serving event. We will use the funds generated by the event to continue our work."

"KW Cares" is supported by associates from across North America. It has truly become the heart of the Keller Williams culture in action, finding and serving the higher purposes of business through charitable giving in the market centers and communities where KW associates live and work, according to their website.
