Authorities said David "King" Victor dumped the body of 36-year-old Michael Wright in Brooklyn after the victim's roommate, 59-year-old Mark Holdbrooks, gave Wright the date-rape drug GHB (Gamma Hydroxybutrate) and then killed him in their Macarthur Avenue home.

Holdbrooks and Victor, 36, wrapped the body in a large garbage bag and loaded it into the trunk of Wright’s white Lexus, Gurbir said Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said when the arrests were announced in early November.
Victor (above, right) then drove the sedan to 16th Street in Brooklyn, where he abandoned it, “while Holdbrooks remained at home,” the prosecutor said.
On Nov. 8, 2015, Holdbrooks reported Wright missing. He told them “he had not seen nor heard from his close family friend and roommate” for three days, he said.
The car was found on Nov. 10 in the NYPD’s 70th Precinct, Grewal said.
“It was determined that Wright had suffered head trauma,” he said.
The NYPD notified Closter police, who called the prosecutor’s Homicide Squad.
Holdbrooks remained imprisoned in New York. He is charged with murder while Holdbrooks is charged with "purposely causing the death" of Wright.
Both are also charged with desecration of human remains, hindering their arrests and GHB possession.
Wright played professional basketball in France, Turkey and Germany after being drafted by the Knicks -- but not making the roster -- out of the University of Arizona in 2001.
