New York All Stars is a program that offers 15 classes and seven competitive teams in dance, cheerleading and performing arts. New York All Stars’ production of Disney’s "The Lion King KIDS" incorporates the skills of the dancers, gymnasts and cheerleaders throughout the show.
Everything is created with bodies of the young performers, from lifelike animal representations of everything from elephants and giraffes to stars in the sky.
Almost every child in the cast has at least one parent or adult who will be volunteering at one performance, helping backstage, as well as with costumes, set design, make-up and hair and other technical elements.
The students in Disney’s "The Lion King KIDS" hail from several Bronx and Westchester schools, including: St. Ann's, P.S. 153. PEARLS Hawthorne School, P.S. 19, Yonkers Montessori Academy, St. Paul's, St. Mark's, Casimir Pulaski and more.
