BRANFORD, Conn. -- An East Haven man was charged with criminal mischief after police said he ran amok in a Branford grocery store while trying to evade arrest, according to a report in MonroeCourier.com.

Andrew Delillo, a 28-year-old East Haven resident who police said was suspected in a purse snatching at the Big Y, knocked over store displays as he tried to run from police on Friday, Jan. 15, MonroeCourier.com reported.

He faces multiple charges, including using a vehicle without the owner’s permission and possession of drug paraphernalia, police told MonroeCourier.com.
