A favorite Fairfield County pizzeria is closing its doors.

Fat Cat Pizzeria on Wall Street in Norwalk announced Monday, Feb. 10, on Facebook the building in which it has flung delicious pizzas for the past 16 years has been sold and it will have to close.

"Our time here in the Twin City Building is coming to a close," the owners said. "Our space has been sold and so with heavy hearts but cool heads we are here in the last weeks of Fat Cat on Wall Street."

Fat Cat's owners weren't sure where they are heading next or what the future holds but thanked all of their customers.

"Stay tuned for our love letter to the last 16 years here and to all of the people who have crossed our path," they said.

No word yet if they plan to open at a new location.
