This annual event pits corporate teams against one another to repack the most food in 60 minutes with the winning team taking the championship title and the coveted Golden Scoop trophy.

Representatives from Webster Bank; Curtis Instruments; Pernod Ricard; Capital One; Stop & Shop; Chubb; AQR Capital; Clarfeld Financial; Regeneron; Bunge and Shop Rite will show their skills to help support Food Bank.

Last year, 11 competitors repacked 29,770 pounds of elbow macaroni that was distributed to countywide agency programs.

According to information provided by Food Bank For Westchester, one in five Westchester residents are hungry or at risk of being hungry, and of those almost 200,000 people, half are senior citizens and one-third are children.

All proceeds generated at the event will benefit the Food Bank, the supply and support center for over 265 hunger-relief member programs throughout Westchester, including food pantries, soup kitchens, senior and child day care centers, shelters and residences.

The event is not open to the public.
