The sanctions came Wednesday from State Assembly Speaker Carl E. Heastie, who also ordered Assemblywoman Angela M. Wozniak, a Ceektowaga Republican, to stop speaking publicly about her director of legislation, with whom she had an alleged sexual relationship last summer, the New York Times says.

The ethics committee found that although the relationship was consensual at first, Wozniak retaliated when the male aide ended it, the New York Times reports. Wozniak came into office following the resignation of her predecessor amid sexual harassment complaints.
