Daughters Of Liberty's Legacy Celebrates Women's History Month In Peekskill

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – The Daughters of Liberty's Legacy successfully presented a program at the Peekskill Museum on March 15, for Women’s History Month.

The topic was Daughters of Liberty during the American Revolution, and included a living history presentation by “Ann Fisher Miller,” born in 1728, who hosted George Washington and other generals at her home (Miller House) during the war.

The attendees heard “Ann’s story” and the many sacrifices she and her family made for the cause of freedom.

The program will be repeated at the North Castle Library in Armonk during the North Castle Historical Societies annual meeting. which is open to the public on April 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and is free.
