Organized by members of the Teen Leadership Council in cooperation with the Coalition, the event will take place at 6 p.m.Thursday, at Vassal Park, Old Post Road South, Croton-on-Hudson.

In addition to musical performances, the vigil will offer plenty of support and information, said Laurie Dean, Coalition chairperson and coordinator .

“The Sixth Annual Candlelight Vigil brings the Croton community together on one night to celebrate loved ones in recovery, support those struggling with substance use, and remember those who lost their lives because of alcohol or drugs. We want to make sure our Croton teens know they are not alone and we encourage them to reach out if they need help or information to make healthy informed choices,” said Dean.

The vigil is one of the Coalition's signature annual events as it works proactively to keep Croton teens safe and drug-free, and acts as a resource for Croton teens and parents to make informed choices about drugs and alcohol.
