Empire State CrossFit North is located at 2305 Crompond Road, Cortlandt.

A portion of the proceeds and all donations collected at the event will be donated to the SPCA of Westchester.

Fifteen local CrossFit gyms will compete to win the coveted Golden Kettlebell. CrossFit 914 is the current holder of the Golden Kettlebell with victories in 2013 and 2012. Empire State CrossFit won the first Golden Kettlebell in 2011.

Twenty-one teams of three men and three women will compete in three workouts. These workouts will include a max weight clean; a 13-minute chipper with athletes working their way through reps of pull-ups, deadlifts, push press and burpees; and an aerobic threshold workout of double-unders and thrusters.

The top six teams will then move on to a harrowing fourth and final workout that will decide the Best Gym in Westchester and proud owner of the Golden Kettlebell for one year.
