Cortlandt Forum Focuses On Renewable Energy

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. -- Residents will have a chance to attend a special public hearing in Cortlandt hosted by the Public Service Commission on Thursday on the implementation of a large-scale renewable energy program and a clean energy standard for New York state.

The hearing will be held at the Muriel H. Morabito Community Center, 29 Westbrook Drive, Cortlandt Manor. The public hearing schedule is as follows: 

  • 2 p.m. – Information session.
  • 3 p.m. – Public statement hearing. 
  • 6 p.m. – Information session. 
  • 7 p.m. – Public statement hearing. 

In keeping with the League of Women Voters' call to fight global warming and transition to a clean energy economy, residents of Westchester County are urged to attend both the informational sessions and the public hearings and to take advantage of the opportunity to make statements on the Clean Energy Standard.
