More than 90 restaurants, bars, shops and markets throughout the entire Hudson Valley will incorporate regional orchard-based hard ciders into tasting menus, special cocktails, pairings, flights, events and classes.

Some participating restaurants include: Blue Hill at Stone Barns and RiverMarket Bar and Kitchen in Tarrytown; Gleason's and Birdsall House in Peekskill; and Half Time in Mamaroneck.

Hard cider was an American tradition until the early 20th Century, when it was lost to Prohibition and urbanization, but has recently seen a resurgence.

A selection of happenings taking place during Cider Week Hudson Valley include:

  • Saturday, June 13: Aaron Burr Cider Tasting at the Cold Spring General Store
  • Wednesday, June 17: Cider for All Seasons, a summer craft cider tasting at Glynwood in Cold Spring
  • Thursday, June 18: Cider School with Vinifera Wine & Spirits, at Molly Spillane’s in Mamaroneck
