The event will be held at Colonial Terrace 119 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor.
Leave The Light On Foundation, with the help of professional and student volunteers, will provide area caregivers with free massages, manicures, make-up, yoga, meditation, hair services, counseling and more.
“One of our caregivers was ‘laid off’ from her job after taking off too much time to care for her mother," said explained Carol Campbell, co-founder, Leave The Light On Foundation. "I’ve also heard the sad story of another woman who had a massive heart attack and passed away while caring for her husband. This is why we coordinate events like our Caregivers Day of Pampering. We simply want to thank caregivers for all they do and give them a break.”
A special tribute presentation is scheduled to take place during the catered lunch at noon.
It is hoped that this complimentary day of pampering will nurture the mind and body of those who care for sick children, siblings, parents, spouses and other loved ones.
The foundation's 2nd Annual Caregivers Day of Pampering is sponsored by local small businesses, individual donors and Sky View Rehabilitation & Health Care which is part of the Epic Healthcare Management family.
