Speakers from Engaging Alzheimer's, FOX Rehab Therapy and Fieldhome's Adult Day Care Program will discuss strategies for dealing with a loved one's post holiday blues and improve their lifestyle, in addition to providing caregivers successful strategies for improving your partner’s lifestyle by prolonging his or her self-sufficiency and independence.

Topics discussed will include problem behaviors, safety measures, dementia education, daily activities and exercise, care options, and communication skills.

The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the center at 2300 Catherine St., Cortlandt Manor.

Attendees will receive a care partner’s gift basket, including a copy of the award-winning book "I Care: A Handbook for Care Partners of People with Dementia," and enjoy soup and sandwiches during the presentation.
