Actress Carole Demas Offers Master Singing Class In Croton

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Acclaimed actress and singer Carole Dumas will be teaching a master class for singers at the Cortlandt School of Performing Arts in Croton.

The class is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at the school, which is located at 24 Old Albany Post Road.

Demas is best known for originating the role of Sandy in the 1971 Broadway musical “Grease.”

She also held the title role in the original 1976 production of “The Baker’s Wife” and has appeared on prime time television and in hundreds of commercials.

She also is known for the children’s show “The Magic Garden,” which she co-hosted with Paula Janis.

The former Miss Vermont (Miss Universe contest) performs in cabarets and concerts and raises funds for worthy causes.
