The SPCA is taking part in NBC's Clear the Shelters on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its Briarcliff location at 590 North State Road. To celebrate its 175th anniversary, Hilltop Hanover is hosting four presentations and a ceremony commemorating the Old Croton Dam and Aqueduct and the contributions of the people who helped build the Croton Water System. Bob Giordano, who helped plan the event, said he has been studying the water system for 25 years.
