WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Twitter CEO Dick Costolo has stepped down from the position he held for five years on Thursday.

Costolo will remain on the social media giant’s board of directors, The New York Times reported.

Jack Dorsey, one of Twitter’s co-founders, will serve as interim CEO while the board looks for a more permanent replacement, according to The New York Times.
