Small Group Of Law Firms Dominates Market, Report Says

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Law firms saw the best revenue growth since the recession in 2014, but that doesn't mean every law firm is back in the black, according to The Wall Street Journal.

A group of 15-20 major corporate law firms are eating up most of that revenue growth, averaging a 6.6 percent increase, whicl 170 other firms saw a more marginal increase of 4 percent, The Wall Street Journal reported. 

The most profitable firms included Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and Sullivan & Cromwell, with $3.85 million and $3.68 million in per-equity partner profits, respectively, The Wall Street Journal said.
