CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Hundreds of area residents dropped by the Cortlandt Colonial Restaurant and Ballroom on Tuesday afternoon, looking to score a job.

Cortlandt-based Events to Remember LLC hosted a spring job and intern fair throughout the day, and traffic was heavy.

The job fair featured dozens of employers offering full-time, part-time, internships and seasonal positions in retail, administration, temp agencies, customer service, hospitality and community resources, among others.

Events To Remember founder Chereese Jervis-Hill said there was a long line to get in before the event even opened. She estimated that about 300 job-seekers had visited the fair by the end of the day.

"Primerica, one of the financial companies, said they signed up over 100 people, which is amazing," she said.
