The recognition comes from the American College for Physician Executives, a health care organization comprised of more than 10,000 members designed to provide professional development and ongoing education for doctors who hold leadership and management positions.

Christiana will be recognized with his CPE certification at the 2014 Annual Meeting and Spring Institute for The American College of Physician Executives in Chicago this April.

Christiana, a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, received his Doctor of Medicine in May 1994 from New York Medical College in Valhalla.

In addition to meeting the established standards set forth by the American College for Physician Executives to become a Certified Physician Executive, he is also currently pursuing a Master’s of Business Administration in medical management at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. “The extensive training Dr. Christiana has undergone to become a Certified Physician Executive helps us maintain our leadership position in our marketplace," said Dr. Ronald J. Tatelbaum, chief medical officer, Health Quest.

"The skills he has developed as part of this program will no doubt translate into the continued delivery of exceptional care to our patients.”
