Business Council Of Westchester Unveils New Initiative

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Business Council of Westchester announced at its recent annual dinner the formation of the Economic Development Leadership Council (EDLC).

The EDLC's primary purpose will be to publicly support and endorse development projects that meet the criteria set for intelligent and sustainable growth. The new council will be chaired by Tim Jones, managing partner and director of the Robert Martin Company.

Along with the introduction of the EDLC was the announcement of the new Westchester Business Champions Award which will be presented quarterly to those businesses who have relocated, recommitted, expanded or started a business in Westchester.

The honorees for the first Business Champion Awards are Dr. Simeon Schwartz, president of WESTMED Medical Group; Joseph Simone, president of Simone Development Companies, and John Fareri, president of Fareri Associates.
