Acadia Breaking Ground On New Cortlandt Shopping Center

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Ground will be broken for the Cortlandt Crossing Shopping Center project at ceremonies this Friday, Oct. 21, according to developers, Acadia Realty Trust.

The new retail venture, Acadia’s second in Cortlandt, is expected to have 10 stores.

Monique Peterson, a spokeswoman for Acadia said she was not at liberty to reveal the names of potential tenants.

The site is located on the north side of Route 6, aka Main Street, just across the street from the real estate investment trust’s first ground-up shopping center, the Cortlandt Town Center.

Expected to attend the 2 p.m. ceremony at 3144 Main St. is Cortlandt Supervisor Linda Puglisi, other local dignitaries and Acadia’s vice president and COO, Chris Conlon.

The public is welcome to attend, Peterson said. The entrance to nearby parking is located at 3172 Main Street. Participants are advised to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony. Security personnel will guide participants to the ceremony site.
